I do not know about you guys, but I am quite a cry baby (in both a good and bad way). I tend to cry when I laugh too hard and I tend to cry when I am really stressed out. Regardless what the reason is behind my tears, I go through a lot of tissues. With that being said, I wanted to create a cover that I can reuse when I finish a box of tissues!
The only items you will need for this DIY are:
- An empty tissue box
- Embroidery thread
- Elmer’s Glue
- Hot glue gun
- Felt
Here are the instructions:
- Cut the top of the tissue box off (where you would usually get the tissues out of)
- Cut a small square on the bottom of the tissue box so you can pull tissues out of it
- Start covering the sides of the tissue box with embroidery thread making sure to apply and spread some regular glue to prevent the thread from moving around
- Decorate the top of your tissue box with any felt design you like. I chose to make a cupcake frosting design with bits of hot glue drops as sprinkles
Now you can slip the tissue box cover over other tissue boxes! I think this is a fun DIY to do just because you can change the design out whenever you feel like it without breaking the bank.
